Frederick

Ellen Jane Whyte Frederick, 93, passed away in New Port Richey, Fla., on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026.

Born in 1933, in Parker, Pa., she was the daughter of James M. Whyte and Ida Luella Eckhart Whyte.

A registered nurse, she was a graduate of Butler Memorial Hospital, Class of 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Donald W. Frederick. They met at Butler Memorial Hospital, when he was a patient recovering from a traffic accident. Together they owned and operated Bon Aire Distributors, in Butler, before retiring to Clearwater, Fla.

She is survived by their four children, Jana Frederick Collins (Glyn), Amy Frederick Cobb, Timothy Frederick and Donald Frederick. She is also survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial is by National Cremation Society.

A memorial service is to be held at a future date.
