Virginia “Ginny” Hill
Virginia “Ginny” (Banas) Hill, 78, of Zelienople, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Born Nov. 24, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Ginny was the beloved daughter of the late William A. and Mollie M. Pugliese Banas.
Ginny found joy in life’s simple pleasures and had a gift for making the ordinary beautiful. She loved crocheting, decorating and shopping, and was known for her remarkable eye for style and bringing things together in just the right way. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding and throughout her life she had a deep love for animals, treasuring each of her beloved pets as family.
A compassionate and generous person, Ginny dedicated her time to volunteering with Animal Friends and Hope Lutheran Church. She will be remembered for her warm Southern drawl, her bright smile and the kindness and warmth she shared so effortlessly with everyone she met. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
HILL — A memorial service for Virginia “Ginny” (Banas) Hill, who died Tuesday, July 7, 2026, will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 22, at Hope Lutheran Church, in Cranberry Township.
A private interment will take place immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA in Ginny’s memory.
