William Dauberman
William Herbert Dauberman, 94, of the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople, died April 11 at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
Born July 21, 1916, in Sunbury, Northumberland County, he was the son of John Roy Dauberman and Margaret Shepherd Montz Dauberman.
Mr. Dauberman graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor's degree and earned a master's degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
He taught physics at Bucknell University from 1938 until 1940. Mr. Dauberman worked as an electrical engineer at Westinghouse from 1940 to 1962 and was a professor of electrical engineering at Valparaiso University from 1962 until 1987.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Abazoris and her husband, Norman, of Inverness, Ill., and Cindy Heller and her husband, Rolf, of Echzell, Germany; a son, Dave Dauberman of Chicago, Ill.; and a grandson, Christoph Heller of Echzell, Germany.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Helen Hisdorf Dauberman; a sister, Helen Dauberman Strassner; and three brothers, Kenneth, John Robert and Herman Dauberman.
