Ronald Faull
Ronald C. Faull, 93, passed peacefully at Orchard Manor under hospice care on Monday, July 13, 2026, after a short-term illness.
Ronald was born in Butler on Feb. 4, 1933, to Clyde (Piney) and Elda Steightner Faull.
He graduated from Butler High School in 1950. He married Shirley Mae Kaltenbaugh on Jan. 20, 1956.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, on Dec. 31, 2020; and a daughter, Lori Thompson, on Sept. 25, 2025; and a son-in-law, Jim Thompson, on June 21, 2026.
He is survived by two daughters, Cree (Dallas) Buchanan and Kimberly (Ted) Whitten; a son, Douglas (Jennifer) Faull; and his sister, Janet McDowell.
Ronald’s faith was very important to him. He was passionate about his family and friends knowing his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a founding member of Galilean Baptist Church in Grove City. He served as a deacon, teacher and was in charge of most of the construction of the buildings there. He wanted that to be a place where people had an opportunity to start a relationship with Jesus and grow in relationship with Jesus Christ.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean conflict.
Ronald founded Faull Welding and Machine in 1964. He owned and operated that business until it later became Faull Fabricating Inc., which is now owned by a third generation of the family.
Ronald was very involved in local government. He served as Liberty Township supervisor for 29 years from 1990 to 2019. During that time he served on the executive board of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) from 2013 till 2019. He also served on the Mercer County Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC), he was an elected official of the Mercer County Council of Governments, he served as the president and the vice president of the Mercer County Township Officials Association and he served on the Grove City Council of Governments (COG).
Ronald loved his family. He loved to work. He loved to camp and did we mention — he loved to work. He was a lover of God and all people He has created. Ronald considered serving all people a way of serving his Lord.
