Schmoock

Elaine L. Schmoock, 87, of Cabot, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born April 22, 1939, in Santa Barbara, Calif., she was the daughter of the Rev. Gerald Schmoock and Hilda Pardieck Schmoock.

Elaine had worked as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance and as a secretary at St. Luke School. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and played in the hand bell choir. She enjoyed traveling.

Surviving is her niece, Jennifer Montag, of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Marjorie Montag.

SCHMOOCK — Funeral services for Elaine L. Schmoock, who died Monday, July 13, 2026, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with the Rev. Brian Bocian officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church.
