Hazel Ann McCaw

Hazel Ann (Badger) McCaw of Butler passed away at 2:45 p.m. Friday at Concordia at the Orchard.

She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Pittsburgh to the late Harrison M. Badger and Marian Hagan Badger.

She was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of the Butler Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star 45, White Shrine of Jerusalem 32, Butler Women's Club and the Mary Lou Boyer Circle of Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. McCaw worked at Mellon Bank and was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Butler High School and Butler Business College.

Mrs. McCaw is survived by two daughters, Sheila A. McCaw of Baltimore, Md., and Marian M. Schuster and husband, Gary, of Lynchburg, Va.; three grandchildren, Gregory Schuster of Lynchburg, Va., Gary Schuster Jr. and Brandon Schuster, both of Allentown; one sister, Marilyn Badger Hook and her husband, George, of Lancaster; eight nieces; two nephews; and a number of grand-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G. Blair McCaw, whom she married on Oct. 5, 1954, and who passed away Sept. 26, 1988, and one sister, Joan B. Cupps.

<B>MCCAW</B> — Friends of Hazel Ann (Badger) McCaw, who died Friday, May 6, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hill United Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Clark Swayer of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating.Interment will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.Family suggests memorial donations be made to Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 2nd St., Butler, PA 16001 or to the donor’s favorite charity.
