Jo Ann Rice
Jo Ann Rice, 67, of Butler died unexpectedly Thursday at her home.
Born May 20, 1943, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Frank J. and Julia (Wasilk) Zima.
She was a graduate of Butler High School and had worked at the Armco Steel Plant in Butler for 27 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian, enjoyed going to garage sales and going to dinner with family and friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Chuck Rice and his wife, Bonnie, and Frank Rice, and his wife, Erin, all of Butler; a daughter, Angie Varano and her husband, Chris, of Butler; six grandchildren, Mark, Sidney, Haley, T.J., Julia and Ireland; two sisters, Ruth Capers and her husband, John, of Butler and Catherine Chapman, and her husband, David, of Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Julie A. “Judd” Zima; and her brother, Thomas Zima.
