Russell G. Laing, 53, of McCandless Township died Friday.

He was the beloved son of Jean A. (Artman) and the late Alfred M. Laing Jr.; loving father of Ryan R., Andrew S. and Lauren E. Laing; close friend and former husband of Susan Laing; and brother of Jean Anne Drickamer, Sally (John) Doubler, Alfred “Mac” (Kathleen) Laing III and Allyson (Ronald) Krchnavy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Laing was a 1975 graduate of Butler High School. He graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a bachelor's degree in social work, received a bachelor's in accounting from Slippery Rock University and an executive masters of business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

Russell was a certified public accountant and was a former manager for Coopers & Lybrand and worked for various hospitals and companies in the Pittsburgh area.
