Glen Dalton Jr.

Dalton

It is with profound love and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Karl Dalton Jr., of Prospect, who left this world on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the age of 59.

He was born to Glen Karl Sr. and Henrietta Dalton on Aug. 13, 1966.

Glen had retired after 35 years with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Being only retired for a little over one year, he didn’t have a very long retirement, but he had an amazing year doing all of the things that he loved, with the people he loved.

Back in the good ol’ days, Glen enjoyed scavenging for arrowheads, metal detecting, trapping, hunting and fishing. From a young age, he had a fascination for birds, especially the bald eagle. He was able to identify most any bird flying above … one of his favorites was the buzzard, all of his license plates read Buzzard — since he was in high school.

Back in the late 1980s to early 1990s, Glen was a member of the Prospect Fire Department and ambulance service, as well as a paramedic for Butler County paramedic services. Glen was well-respected within his community, as well as by anyone he had met.

Glen’s laughter filled every corner of our home, and his calm presence made even the hardest days easier. There is so much about Glen that made him unequivocally special, but much of it was the small things that made his family and close friends care so deeply for him. Take the pictures, ride the ride, dance the slow dance and never hold back on love ….

Glen was an incredible friend, son and brother, a devoted father and an amazing husband.

To his family, he was a pillar of strength, a master of fixing it and the first person to offer a helping hand or a witty punchline. Glen was always patient, always generous.

Glen had a passion for riding his Harley, hunting, seeing live local music, cooking, canning and gardening with his wife. He also looked forward to taking his mom to bingo, anytime he could, he absolutely loved to see her smile.

The lessons and memories he has left with his family will be treasured forever. From teaching his children to hunt and process deer to later on teaching his wife to hunt. His kids were his entire world. Whenever he spoke of them, his eyes sparkled and a helpless, beaming smile took over his entire face. His kids were truly his inspiration.

His favorite music and lyrics will play on in the minds of those of us that knew him best.

He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his parents; his wife, JoAnn Dalton; his three children, Quinton, Brady and Avery Dalton; his stepsons; brothers, Kirk Dalton and Todd Dalton, both of Prospect; and his beloved best buddy, his German shepherd, Rip.

He was preceded in death by a longtime hunting buddy that he admired and still proudly spoke about, Jake Bauder.

The huge loss felt by so many is a testament of how much Glen was loved and his genuine presence here on Earth has left an imprint that will live on.
