Tritch

Cleora M. Tritch, 93, of Butler, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 26, 1932, in Chicora, she was a daughter of the late William J. Young and Marcella Stein Young.

Cleora lived a full life, surrounded by a large community of family and friends. Over the years, she worked as a lunch monitor at Meridian Elementary School and she was a faithful member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, in Meridian. Cleora was active with the Ladies Aid Society and she volunteered at the church’s annual Lenten fish fry and other church-sponsored events.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandy Kowalski and her husband, Gerald, of Ashburn, Va., Nancy Foltz, of Ashburn, Va., and Robin Tincha and her husband, Michael Healy, of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three siblings, John Young and his wife, Rita, of Butler, Jane Beltrami, of Butler, and Regis Young and his wife, Alice, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Cleora was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Tincha; her second husband, John Tritch; one son-in-law, Don Foltz; seven sisters; and six brothers.

The family extends special thanks to Newhaven Court at Clearview, where for the past few years Cleora lived a fulfilling and valued life surrounded by compassionate staff, and to the nurses of Butler Memorial Hospital Tower 6th floor (John, Pete and Jacqueline and Karen) who gave Cleora dignity and a pain-free passing in the last couple days of her life.

TRITCH — A funeral Mass for Cleora M. Tritch, who died Sunday, July 5, 2026, will be scheduled at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, sometime this fall.
