This letter is in regards to my son's kitty that was killed on Center Avenue, just up from Marvin Street on May 31, after getting out.

To the many people that continued to run him over after he was dead, like he was a piece of garbage, I ask, “What is wrong with you?” He was someone's pet, and mattered.

The speed limit is 15 mph, and not many people go that, which I'm sure is why he is dead. A compassionate young girl removed his body after witnessing him being run over several times. To her we are grateful, as well that her mom posted it on social media. We would not have been able to bury him without that knowledge, so thank you!

Do better people, drive slower, be aware of animals and show compassion. Rest in peace Baker. We miss you buddy.
