Nuhfer

Kenneth L. Nuhfer, 86, of Fenelton, passed away peacefully Friday, June 19, 2026.

Born Dec. 17, 1939, in Venus, Pa., he was a son of the late Carl and Mabel Rex Nuhfer.

Ken married Barbara Kerr Nuhfer, the love of his life, April 10, 1971.

After graduating from high school in 1957, Ken served in the U.S. Army Reserve and began working for Sehman’s Tire Service in Franklin, Pa. His strong work ethic and commitment helped the company grow as he worked closely with Bill Sehman to establish several new locations, including a Butler store which was sold after Ken’s retirement. Ken genuinely enjoyed his work and devoted more than 50 years to the company, leaving a lasting impact on the business and those he worked alongside.

Ken was an avid fisherman. He loved gardening and maintaining his yard and spending quiet evenings with Barbara. He was a man who believed in hard work, giving his best in everything he did, and leading with integrity, kindness and quiet strength.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Kerr Nuhfer; two sons, Rodney Nuhfer and his wife, Brenda, and Kenneth E. Nuhfer and his wife, Jennifer; his three daughters, Kimberly Nuhfer, Kendee Connor and her husband, Brady Sassone, and Kinet Becker and her husband, Delmar. He is also survived by two stepsons, John Harris and James Harris, whom he lovingly helped raise from a previous marriage; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Richard and Donald Nuhfer; and a sister, Betty Stewart.

NUHFER — Family and friends of Kenneth L. Nuhfer, who died Friday, June 19, 2026, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Zonts, of Grace Community Church, officiating.

Interment will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
