Education: A 1982 graduate of Butler High School, he then graduated from the Allegheny County Municipal Police Training Academy in 1986.

Awards: He's won numerous law enforcement and volunteerism awards, including being recognized by the Butler County chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving for having the highest number of DUI arrests in 1991 and second highest in 1993.

Memberships: Slupe belongs to various groups such as the Butler County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 107 and the Butler County Law Enforcement Officers Association.
