Roy E. Reed, 39, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 15, 1970, in Bradford, he was the son of Jon D. Reed and Denise Peterson Reed.

He was a member of the Freeport Road Alliance Church.

An avid sports fan, he especially liked NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Mets. He also was a collector of baseball and football cards.

He enjoyed country music, and Tim McGraw was his favorite performer.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Strohecker Reed; his mother, Denise M. Peterson Reed of Butler; his father, Jon D. Reed of Georgia; three sisters, Laurie, Jenniffer and Cassandra Reed, all of Butler; and two nephews.

<B>REED</B> — Friends of Roy E. Reed, who died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Freeport Road Alliance Church. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Blair Blakeslee of Corry officiating. Burial will take place in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
