Malachi Stephenson scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds recently as the Butler seventh grade Gold boys basketball team defeated Freeport, 45-23.
Vance Jackson contributed eight points to the win while Carson Stein scored six.

Santino Sloboda, 8, of Butler went 4-1 and placed third in the 8-under 55-pound class at the third annual Burgettstown Youth Tournament over the weekend.
