Santino Sloboda, 8, of Butler took second place in the Midget/54-pound division at the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association District Tournament last weekend in Pittsburgh.

Sloboda will advance to the MAWA Western Regional Championships in Chambersburg in April.

Inline hockeySeneca Valley’s Middle 2 team won the PIRHL Tier 2 Championship this weekend. The third-seeded Raiders upset No. 2 seed Moon in the semifinals.Senecva Valley won the title over top-seeded Hempfield, winning the best-of-three series by scores of 5-4 and 6-3.Members of the team include Dylan Darak, Chase Leisie, Drew Yecko, Ethan Shodi, Matthew Kurywchak, Justin Pityk, Kory Kumanchik, Matthew Henn, Connor Sli, Brendan Malloy and Bailey Salameh.
