Henry Kriess
Henry “Cork” R. Kriess, 91, of Connoquenessing Township, passed away Sunday morning, May 24, 2026, at his residence.
Born in Butler on Jan. 14, 1935, he was the son of the late William H. and Gertrude Saylor Kriess.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Henry had worked at Pullman until its closing in 1982. He then drove a mail truck.
He served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.
Henry was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry M. Koegler; one son, Robert Kriess; and 10 siblings.
He is survived by two sons, William J. (Cindy) Kriess and Dale L. Kriess, both of Butler; daughter-in-law, Becky Kriess, of Butler; three brothers, Jack, Ron and Gary Kriess; one sister, Suzanne Weiland; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
