Elizabeth Fornelli

Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Fornelli, 88, of Butler, peacefully passed away at her residence Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Born in Lyndora March 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joe John Huba and Anna Vallo Huba.

Betty began her working life at the former Lyndora Elementary School, where she was employed as a secretary. She went on to work at Murphy’s Mart, Sears, Beltone Hearing Aid Center and the C.W. Howard Insurance Agency.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Betty was an avid bowler and Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed cultivating flowers and cooking. She loved her fur grandbabies.

She was a proud, loving mom to her three children, Kathy Fornelli, of Butler, Vince Fornelli and his wife, Michelle, of Warrenton, Va., and Bob Fornelli, of Butler; her brother, Joseph Huba, and his wife, Marsha, of Butler; one fur baby, Stevie; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis T. Fornelli, to whom she was married for 50 years and who passed away May 17, 2014.

FORNELLI — There will be no visitation for Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Fornelli, who died Saturday, April 11, 2026.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.

Burial will take place in St, Michael’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Betty Fornelli to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME SOUTH SIDE, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
