Beechey

Thomas Daniel "Tom" Beechey, 75, of Bramble Avenue at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday was ushered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 4, 1931, in Clearfield, he was the son of James and Anna Hutchinson Beechey.

Following high school, he served in the National Guard. He began working at Hutchinsons' Cleaner in 1950 and ran a cleaning route throughout the county.

In 1964, following the birth of his son, he began working in the security department at Armco-Butler Works and retired in 1991 after 27 years. During this time, he also was a deputy coroner for Butler County and worked part-time at the Young Funeral Home. Following his retirement from Armco, he worked at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home until 1998 when his health forced him to leave.

He was a member and a former deacon, elder and member of the board of directors at Community Alliance Church. He also belonged to the Victory Lodge 694 F&AM and was a former member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and of Syria Shrine.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria Lindell Beechey, whom he married Feb. 27, 1959; a son, Thomas Daniel "Tommy" Beechey Jr. at home; and several nieces and nephews. He also is survived by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine Lindell of Butler.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Adam "Dutch" and Edwin Beechey.

<B>BEECHEY</B> — Friends of Thomas Daniel "Tom" Beechey, who died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Community Alliance Church with the Rev. Dennis Krajacic officiating.
