Trump making good on campaign promise
On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the Butler Eagle had many letters to the editor condemning President Donald Trump’s policies on immigration. I’m one person who stands in agreement with our president on immigration.
President Trump was elected because he promised to rid the country of illegal immigrants. Now that he has gone ahead with his plans, the Democratic Party says he has gone too far. They hold well-organized protests in Democratic sanctuary cities. I feel the main reason for the protests is not that they care about the illegal immigrants, but that they are protesting President Trump. It makes no difference what he does, the Democratic Party is against it. President Barack Obama also deported illegal immigrants.
We are supposed to be a law-abiding people, and these illegal immigrants entered this country illegally, they broke the law and they need to be deported.
Most of our ancestors were immigrants who came to America through proper channels.
These U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are wearing masks to protect themselves and families from radical protesters.
