Albert F. 'Dutch' Byers
Albert F. "Dutch" Byers, 94, of Saxonburg died Wednesday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center.
Born Dec. 28, 1912, in Saxonburg, he was the son of Thomas and Francine List Byers.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and had been a welder for Blawnox Steel.
Mr. Byers was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Saxonburg VFW and the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Breslin Byers; a son, Hal Byers of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Marsha Cunningham of Valencia and Mrs. Jeff (Patricia) Saunders of Butler; a brother, Thomas Byers of Summerville, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a sister.
<B>BYERS</B> — Friends of Albert F. "Dutch" Byers, who died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Brewer officiating.
