Grebeck

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and friend, Helen Lucille Grebeck, who ran into the arms of her eternal savior, unafraid and with an open heart, on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born Jan. 16, 1936, in West Deer, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Lucille (Radosovich) Raynovich.

A woman of great strength and beauty, she dedicated her life to God, her family and her special needs daughter. Her passion in life was holding large dinners and parties for family and friends; all were always welcome. A fantastic cook and baker, she made beautiful cakes for all occasions. Helen was an amazing seamstress for anyone who needed something done. She loved her flowers, gardening and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially of her Pens! Helen’s contagious laughter and loving, caring, unselfish spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Grebeck, of Butler; one extraordinary son-in-law, Michael Dietrich, of Butler; two loving grandsons, T.J. Schubert and his wife, Emilee, of Connoquenessing, and Joshua Geyer, of Butler; and two very loyal friends, Nick Russin, of Lyndora, and Karolyn Orvik, of Butler.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Grebeck Jr.; her twin daughters, Tammy Marie Grebeck and Pam Marie Dietrich; six brothers, Nicholas, George, Theodore, Paul, Walter and Joseph Raynovich; and three sisters, Mary Bryan, Ann O’Neil and Emily Hersteck.

GREBECK — In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services or visitation for Helen Lucille Grebeck, who died Monday, Sept. 14, 2026.

She will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
