Joanne Louise Negley, 82, of Butler, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 5, 1944, in Slippery Rock, she was the daughter of the late Francis Blaney Roudybush and Agnes Charlotte Ryan Roudybush.

She was employed for a brief time as a registered nurse at Butler VA Medical Center and then she worked at Friedman’s Supermarket at Greater Butler Mart.

Joanne loved to golf and bowl.

Surviving are two brothers, Francis Roudybush and his wife, Judy, of Slippery Rock, and Harold Roudybush, of Butler; and a sister-in-law, Sally Griffith, of Butler.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Negley; infant son, Jeffrey; one brother, Paul Roudybush; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Roudybush.

NEGLEY — There will be no visitation, and services will be private for Joanne Louise Negley, who died Friday, Sept. 11, 2026.

Entombment will be in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery.
