Rachel S. Isacco
Rachel S. Isacco, 91, formerly of Forestville, died at 7:05 a.m. Monday at Orchard Manor, Grove City, where she lived for the past three years.
Born in Forestville, Feb. 18, 1915, she was the daughter of Domenico and Maria Isaac Isacco.
She worked extensively for the Roman Catholic Church and in particular for St. Peter Parish in Slippery Rock. During World War II, she had worked at Cooper-Bessemer, Grove City.
Miss Isacco was a lifelong devoted member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Forestville, and taught religious eduction and served in many capacities at the church.
She was an avid sports enthusiast and was a devoted New York Yankees' fan. She also enjoyed traveling and family activities.
Surviving are her loving nieces and nephews, 28 great-nieces and great-nephews and 40 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
As the last member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by seven sisters, Ruth F. Candee, Mary L. Cicero, Angeline A. Carozza, Anna A., Margaret C. and Jennie Isacco and Sister Mary Dominic, and two brothers, Antonio C. and Michael J. Isacco.
<B>ISACCO </B>— Friends of Rachel S. Isacco, who died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Forestville, with the Rev. James Armstrong officiating. Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery, Harrisville.
