Maria J. Corbin
Maria J. Corbin, 72, of Butler, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026.
Born Aug. 17, 1953, in Washington, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Jacob Paradise and Florence Molla Paradise.
Maria was employed by Rite Aid as an assistant manager in Butler. She also worked for Kmart in Butler, where she was employed for 20 years, and JCPenney in Washington. In addition, she formerly was a paramedic for Washington Ambulance and Chair Service.
Maria was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A true spiritual leader, she was an active and dedicated volunteer at the church, as well as president of the parish board.
Maria’s cherished friends and family were the center of her life. She was affectionately known as the “Queen” of the extended Paradise family. She loved to travel and go dancing.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Corbin, and his wife, Jennie, of Sarver; one granddaughter, Harper Corbin, of Sarver; two sisters, Anna Berg and her husband, David, of Washington, Pa., and Christina Paradise and her husband, Lester, of Washington, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary D. Corbin, whom she married July 11, 1981, and who passed away July 27, 2020.

CORBIN — Family and friends of Maria J. Corbin, who died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, in MARTIN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Parastas service will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen St., Lyndora, with Father Yurii Bobko, pastor, officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
Entombment will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
