Thomas Kerr

Kerr

Thomas Kolby Kerr, precious son, brother, grandson and nephew, was escorted in Jesus’ loving arms into Heaven with the angels and reunited with the grandpa he called his dad whom he loved and idolized Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025.

Kolby was born June 13, 1984, to Kimberly (Huff) Kerr.

He grew up in Dayton, Pa., spending time hunting, fishing, shooting guns and learning many trades from his “Pa.” The family moved to Rural Valley in his grade school years and his remaining schooling was spent at Shannock Valley Schools and then West Shamokin High School. He always looked back on those years and the friendships, activities and basketball, or just “running around town,” as some of the best years of his life.

Kolby was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Yatesboro. He took his role as an altar server very seriously and was fierce about his Roman Catholic faith. He helped serve during the annual St. Mary’s fish fry with all his church friends. He was also a member of the Emmaus Church men’s group, having attended many retreats.

Kolby spent most of his adult life in the Beaver Falls area “pounding the pavement” he would say, longing for a life outside the city. He loved the country life.

Kolby was a courageous soul who showed us all how to be more tolerant, patient, kind and forgiving while he traveled his rocky earthly path. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.

He is survived by his mother, Kim Huff Kerr; brothers, Kent (Kerry) Kerr and Kameron (Luba) Kerr; and grandmother, Shirley Huff.

Preceding Kolby in death was his grandpa, Thomas F. Huff.
