Karen (Zeigler-Posey) Moore, 71, of Butler, passed away peacefully at home, with her three children and cat by her side, surrounded by love, on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026.

She was born in Kittanning on Jan. 4, 1955, to the late John Posey and Delores Sebring.

Karen was a homemaker and loved spending time with her cat, Witchy Pooh. She enjoyed drawing, reading, writing poetry and laughing with friends and family.

She was the mother of Frank (Dawn), Barney and Thomas Zeigler, Crystal Kerchersky, John Rob and James Moore. She is also survived by one brother; one sister; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Zeigler; and her brother, Thomas Posey.

The family would like to give special thanks to Tom Bowser for praying with the family to ensure Karen’s final journey home was guided with love and honor.
