Carol Sue (Stewart-Chiprean) Keller, 92, of Curtisville, West Deer Township, formerly of Washington, Pa. and Butler, died Wednesday Dec. 31, 2025, at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Richland.

She was born June 12, 1933, in Rimersburg to the late Russell and Evelyn (Stuart) Stewart.

Carol grew up in Rimersburg graduating from Rimersburg High School in 1951. She then went on to get her nursing degree. She worked for over nine years at the Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, until she married her first husband John J. Chiprean. She then was a stay-at-home mom caring for her family and volunteering with her husband in the Rotary International Organization in the Butler area, until her husband passed. She was fortunate to find and marry her second husband, Charles “Chuck” Keller, and continued being very active and traveling in the Rotary International Organization, since Charles was elected as the president of Rotary International in 1987-1988. They traveled throughout the United States, as well as internationally, attending regional, state, national and international conventions.

She enjoyed gardening, being involved in several local gardening clubs, as well as helping with fundraising for the American Heart Association. She and her first husband, John, loved traveling to Canada to fish with their children and she continued this with her second husband.

She is survived by her children, Bradley J. (Rebecca) Chiprean, of Curtisville, and Susan Chiprean, of Butler; stepchildren, Jeffrey (Angela) Keller, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Greg (Patty) Keller, of Greensburg, Candy Lou (Joe) Clement, of Framingham, Mass., Robin (Chuck) DeHainaut, of Pittsburgh, and John “Jack” (Jackie) Chiprean, of Prospect; her granddaughter, Caitlin Slagel, of Butler; and her great-grandchildren, Charlie Wellner and Willa Warburton; and a very special friend, Virginia White, who was the sister she never had, helping care for her, taking her to appointments and doing most anything she needed.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, John J. Chiprean; her second husband, Charles C. Keller; her infant son, John S. Chiprean,; and her stepsons, James C. Chiprean and Robert E. Chiprean.

KELLER — At her request, all viewing, services and burial will be private for Carol Sue (Stewart-Chiprean) Keller, who died Wednesday Dec. 31, 2025.

She will be privately laid to rest with her husband Charles Keller at Rimersburg Cemetery, Clarion, PA.

Memorial contributions may be sent in her name to the St. Barnabas Charities, Inc., 5850 Meridian Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044.

Arrangements were entrusted to SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township.
