Helen M. Bair, 78, of Buffalo Township died peacefully at 4:50 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Clarion County, May 3, 1928, she was the daughter of John B. and Margaret Kirkpatrick Shanafelt.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She was the wife of Daniel H. Bair, to whom she was married for 58 years. She also is survived by a daughter, Donna L. (Albert) Johns of East Franklin Township, Armstrong County; a son, Jeffrey D. (Rebecca) Bair of Winfield Township; five grandchildren, Pamela Johns of East Franklin Township, Timothy Johns of New Kensington, Heather (David) Arvay of Arnold, Jarrod J.E. Bair and his fiancée, Samantha Winterstein, of Butler and Alison P. Bair of Winfield Township; and two great-grandchildren, Addison P. and Amelia G. Johns of Kittanning.

<B>BAIR </B>— Friends of Helen M. Bair, who died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>REDMOND FUNERAL HOME</B>, 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Davis, pastor of the Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.Donations may be made to the Orphans of the Storm Inc. 111878 State Route 83, Kittanning, PA 16201.
