Construction worker hit by driver on Evans City Road
A driver reportedly drove through a construction zone after becoming impatient and hit a construction worker who was holding a sign and directing another vehicle Friday, Nov. 7, in Connoquenessing Township, police said.
State police in Butler said the sign-holder, Valerie M. Fullum, 35, of New Brighton, sought care at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township for a suspected minor injury. She was hit while working at the intersection of Evans City Road and Brandywine Boulevard.
Police said the impact knocked a sign out of Fullum’s hand as she was hit in the back with the mirror of the vehicle. Police did not immediately identify the driver.
