Elizabeth J. Barnes
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Barnes, 87, died at 7:10 p.m. Friday at Grove Manor in Grove City, where she lived for a year.
Born March 9, 1920, in Butler County, she was the daughter of Alexander M. and Susanne Dickson Potter.
She was a homemaker and attended the River Church of God in Volant, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and youth leader.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan E. Miller of Grove City; a brother, William Potter of Seattle; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Barnes Jr., whom she married Feb. 14, 1948, and who died April 17, 1988; a son-in-law; a sister; and a brother.
<B>Barnes — </B>Friends of Elizabeth J. "Betty" Barnes, who died Friday, July 27, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>jamison funeral home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the River Church of God, 38 Old Mercer Road, Volant, with the Rev. Marsha Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
