For my first letter to the editor, I would like to thank the Butler Eagle for the Oct. 19 front page photo showing two high school football players kneeling in prayer before a game.

At the Pittsburgh Steelers game versus the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 12, I had noticed something similar — more than a dozen players kneeling in prayer before the start of the contest.

These are heartening examples of people willing to show their convictions in a thoughtful, peaceful manner, and they serve as great encouragement. Thanks again!
