Slippery Rock fire department receives $30,000 donation
Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company announced Thursday, Oct. 23, that it received a $30,000 donation from a charitable trust in the area.
“We extend a huge thank you to the Rodgers Memorial Trust for their generosity and support of our department! Their $30,000 donation will directly benefit equipment improvements, helping us better serve our community,” the fire company said in a Facebook post.
The company also thanked borough Mayor Jondavid Longo for his efforts in facilitating the contribution.
