Police reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

State police, Butler

Oct. 1 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash around 3:30 p.m. on Route 8 in Mercer Township. Police said Nyckolas A. Hubbard, 20, of Steubenville, Ohio, was crossing over Route 8 in a Kia Sorento and pulled in front of a Subaru Forester driven by Kayla S. Groves, 38, of Franklin. Police said both drivers sustained suspected minor injuries and both vehicles were disabled.

Oct. 14 — Nathan Andrew Cornell, 35, of Chicora, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following an Oct. 5 incident in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Cornell pushed a woman out of a vehicle causing road rash and gave her a black eye.

Oct. 14 — Benjamin A. Smith, 38, of Worthington, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following a Sept. 14 crash. Police said Smith showed signs of impairment.

Oct. 15 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash around 1:40 p.m. in the parking lot of Dollar General in Saxonburg. Police said Lois M. Myers, 82, of Saxonburg, accelerated into the side of a building. Myers was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital with possible injuries.
