Catherine A. Yuengert of Wexford, formerly of Butler, died Thursday at the North Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wexford.

She was born in Butler on Jan. 21, 1915, a daughter of the late John and Amy Shoop Finnegan.

Catherine had been the office manager for Dr. D. D. Canterman in Butler for 25 years, until 1975.

A lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Butler, she was a member of St. Paul's Guild, and had formerly been a eucharistic minister serving parish shut-in members. She had also founded On with Life, a parish support group for widows and widowers. She was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary for the Butler Council, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Butler Court; and AARP.

She was the widow of John L. Yuengert, who died July 17, 1988. She also was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, and a great-granddaughter.

Surviving are two sons, John L. Yuengert, and his wife, Kay, of Frankenmuth, Mich., and Robert C. Yuengert of Miami Lakes, Fla.; and two daughters, Katherine (William) Kidd of San Antonio, Texas, and Patricia (Richard) Mascari of Mars.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St, Butler. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Butler.St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:40 a.m. Monday at the church.The family prefers that memorial donations be made to the Gateway Hospice, 9380 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
