Jeannetta V. Himes, 92, of the Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville, formerly of Slippery Rock, died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at her residence.

Born June 13, 1915, in Kaylor in Clarion County, she was the daughter of Benton P. and Hilda Grady Wenner.

She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler and Chapter 86 of the Eastern Star in Grove City.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Robert T. (Etta J.) Elliott of Butler; a son, Donald B. Himes of Grove City; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, Cecelia Wiley of New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvis B. Himes, whom she married May 11, 1937, and who died Oct. 17, 1985; a son, and five sisters.

<B>Himes — </B>Friends of Jeanetta V. Himes, who died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>jamison funeral home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Alden W. Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler.
