Betty J. Spagnola

Betty J. DeFoggi Spagnola, 82, of Shelbourne Assisted Living on Dinnerbell Road died Sunday evening at Shelbourne.

Born in Butler on May 26, 1924, she was the daughter of Salvatore and Leonarda DiTullio DeFoggi.

She was a homemaker. She formerly worked at the Hot Dog Shop and at American Hardware, and she retired as a toll collector for thePennsylvania Turnpike.

Mrs. Spagnola was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the 55 and Alive of the church.

Surviving are two sons, Leo and Salvatore Spagnola, both of the Cleveland area; a brother, Arthur DeFoggi of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Lucille) Sarteschi and Mrs. Dorothy Kriley, both of Butler; four grandsons; three granddaughters, and three great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Spagnola, who died March 4, 1983; four brothers, and two sisters.

<B>SPAGNOLA</B> —<B> </B>Friends of Betty J. DeFoggi Spagnola, who died Sunday, July 16, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery.The bereavement group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
