Party in the ‘Barking Lot’
The Butler County Humane Society will have a “Barking Lot Party” fundraiser on Sunday, June 8, to educate the community and raise funds to help the animals in its care.
In the week leading up to the event, the shelter will host a donation drive through Sunday, June 8, with the goal of filling the agency’s van. The humane society runs solely on donations to help serve the animals in its care. Needed items range from dog and cat food to bleach and laundry detergent, according to a news release from the humane society.
The Barking Lot Party will provide the community with special resources starting with three veterinary clinics that will speak to the importance of routine veterinary care, while also informing animal advocates of the Spay and Neuter Program partnership.
The Barking Lot Party will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shelter, 1015 Evans City Road, Connoquenessing Township.
