I am thoroughly disgusted and angry that two parents of a 3-month-old baby were sentenced to probation for torturing the innocent child. According to the article on Page 7 of the May 23 Butler Eagle, “Parents sentenced in injury case,” the child suffered a displaced oblique fracture to the right femur, a fracture to the right tibia, and fractures to two left ribs. Police said the rib fractures were in various stages of healing, which implies they were not received at the same beating.

Three months old!

Both parents pleaded guilty, and both were sentenced to probation! They belong in prison for a very long time, and the baby needs to be placed somewhere safe.
