Police: Man ran stop sign in Summit Township 4-vehicle crash
A Butler man ran a stop sign while making a left turn from Stutz Road to Freeport Road in a Wednesday, May 14 crash that involved four vehicles and sent an 18-year-old woman to the hospital, according to police.
Dylan J. Robinson, 22, failed to stop his Toyota Camry at a stop sign on Stutz Road while making a left turn onto Freeport Road in Summit Township, a news release from state police said.
According to police, Faith M. Giza, 18, of Butler, was passing through the intersection when Robinson crashed into the back driver-side door of her Kia Soul.
Police said Beverly J. Fox, 66, of Springdale, attempted to stop her Jeep Cherokee, but crashed into the Kia’s back passenger-side panel, and Michelle Crevar, 46, of Butler, crashed into the Jeep’s rear in a Chrysler Town & Country.
Crevar’s vehicle included three juvenile passengers, but none were injured.
Giza was taken to a hospital by East Butler Volunteer Fire Department EMS with unknown injuries and the rest of the patients were evaluated, police said.
Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company and Malinski Towing also responded.
