Two Butler men were charged in a fight involving five people and a knife in the men’s bathroom at Sheetz on Center Avenue, according to charges filed Monday, July 20.

Butler Township police charged Damian Jamar Blystone, 23, with felony aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count each of simple assault and terroristic threats; and Joshua Sean Young, 40, with misdemeanor simple assault, marijuana possession and two misdemeanor DUI counts following the incident Monday.

Police said they spoke with four people outside Sheetz. Police said Blystone and Young arrived at Sheetz after the group of four. According to police, Blystone saw two of them enter the men’s room and followed them.

Police said, in the bathroom, Blystone confronted the two about a “prior shooting.” He then brandished a switchblade, pointed it at one of the people in the bathroom and began yelling.

Blystone forced the man he was threatening into the corner of the bathroom, which is when Young and another person entered. Police said Young then punched the person he entered with multiple times in the face before he and Blystone left the store.

While police were interviewing the group of four in the parking lot, Blystone and Young drove back through the parking lot and were stopped by police.

Police said Young had marijuana in the vehicle and showed signs of impairment.

Blystone and Young are being held in Butler County Prison. Blystone has a $100,000 bail and Young has a $10,000 bail, according to court records.

Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for 9 a.m. July 30 before District Judge Kevin O’Donnell.
