The ACMH Hospital reminds people to get mammograms this October.

ACMH will hold its Promoting Pink vendor event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will have nearly 40 vendors, including the American Cancer Society and Riding for the Cure.

Plus, Adagio Health, a nonprofit headquartered in Pittsburgh, will be there, offering information to women who lack insurance coverage.

The organization offers health care services to more than 100,000 people — women and their families — in 23 counties of Western Pennsylvania.

“Our focus is on early detection,” said Brandi Mason, ACMH oncology nurse navigator. “So those who are under-insured or not insured will have access to mammograms.”

Mason said that the mammograms will be scheduled at a later time.

The event will take place outside the hospital’s cancer center and in the lobby.

Additionally, Mason said that ACMH offers support groups to its cancer patients. They are: Women’s, Men’s, Head and Neck, and Caregivers.
