A break-in at the Butler BlueSox office was discovered Monday afternoon. Team co-owner William “Wink” Robinson said the burglary occurred between 1 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. Monday.

“The door was forcibly opened,” he said.

Robinson said the only items taken from the second-floor office at Kelly Automotive Park were a bank bag containing cash and an employee paycheck.

“Our best approximation is $300 to $500,” he said. “We do not keep large sums in the office.”

He said Butler police have video footage of the lobby to review as part of their investigation.
