Ruth Evelyn Christie, 91, died Dec. 1 at the Lutheran Village Courtyards, Columbus, Ohio.

Born Oct. 10, 1915, in West Sunbury, she was the daughter of Nobel and Anna Mary Rinker Bowser.

She was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City.

Mrs. Christie was a graduate of The Butler Business College, and together with her husband owned an insurance agency serving Butler and Mercer counties for 40 years.

She was a longtime member of the Grove City Business and Professional Woman's Association, where she held many offices, including president.

Surviving are her loving husband of 69 years, Loyal L. Christie; a daughter, Ame Christie Lyons of Burlington, Iowa; a son, Wayne (Ann) Christie of Columbus; and grandchildren, Chris and Eric Lyons, Jeff Christie and Briana (Rick) Ey.

A sister, Frances, and an infant daughter, Linn, preceded her in death.
