Time to rein in government spending
Has anyone else noticed this?
Critics of the new Trump team’s attempts to significantly cut government spending often note a targeted item in the $8.7 trillion federal budget is only $238 billion (or other $XYZ million or billion.) This is intended to say their efforts are futile and not worth the endeavor. With that attitude, no wonder the deficit is out of control.
I don’t know about you, but if they find enough of those “little bits” — and they no doubt exist — I could find a place in my own budget for our share of that “little bit” of tax dollars.
