Budget hearing set for Nov. 2BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The Butler Township Board of Commissioners will hold a budget hearing at 5 p.m. Nov. 2 at the township building, it was announced at Monday’s board meeting.Representatives from each of the township’s department will present budget-related matters to the commissioners.

Board to consider zoning changeBUTLER TWP — The board of commissioners has set Nov. 21 for a hearing on a proposed change of zoning of property along Duffy Road.The board took the action at its meeting Monday evening.The owner of the land at 113 S. Duffy Road and the property directly behind it wants a rezoning from Residential 1 to Commercial 2.There also will be a Butler Township Planning Commission meeting on Nov. 1. The planning commission will give a recommendation to the township commissioners on the proposed zoning change.The commissioners said the owner has not revealed his proposed use of the property.
