The Taylors in 1960

Ernest and Roberta Taylor of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Greenwood Village Fire Hall in Butler.

Taylor married the former Roberta Ann Blain on Aug. 12, 1960, at East Butler Presbyterian Church.

They have five children, Amy Parker of Butler, Beth Ackelson of Butler, Holly Mead of Lewisville, N.C., Shawn Taylor of New Castle and Jennifer Taylor of Butler.

They also have nine grandchildren.

Taylor owned and operated Ernie Taylor's BBQ.

Mrs. Taylor owns and operates Bobbie's Beauty Shoppe.

The Taylors belong to Graceway Community Church.
