Carolyn J. Bittinger
Carolyn J. Bittinger, 59, of 1037 Lindsey Road, New Castle, died the night of April 24 in Jameson Hospital.
Born Feb. 21, 1951, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Glenn H. and Helen M. Burkey Rogers. They both survive in New Castle.
She married William H. Bittinger Sr. on Sept. 6, 2006.
She was a graduate of Shenango High School and the Penn State School of Nursing in Rochester.
Carolyn was a registered nurse for UPMC Home Health Care, where she was a team leader.
She was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed cars, frogs and showing horses.
She was a member of the Independent Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, Joshua Aiken of Portersville and Adam Aiken of Butler; three stepsons, William H. Bittinger Jr. and Paul Bittinger of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Mark Bittinger of Knoll, W.Va.; two stepdaughters, Brenda Greco of Hopewell and Lishia Ianson of Coudersport; two brothers, Glenn C. Rogers of Jamestown, Tenn., and Carl A. Rogers of New Castle; one sister, Tamara Pieri of New Castle; three grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
<B>BITTINGER</B> — Visitation for Carolyn J. Bittinger, who died Saturday, April 24, 2010, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory</B>, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Frederick Gilbert will officiate.
