Mary E. 'Libby' Lewis

Mary E. "Libby" (Edwards) Lewis, 85, of Worthington died Sunday.

Born Sept. 22, 1923, in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of William Edwards and Margaret Hazel (Shearer) Edwards.

She was a homemaker and lived in Worthington for the past 12 years.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. She was a past member of the Worthington-West Franklin Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed reading, pets and puzzle books.

Surviving are a son, Thomas G. (Linda K.) Lewis of Butler; a stepson, Doug (Wanda) Lewis of Prattville, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Sheila (Michael) Cape and Beck Lewis, both of Alabama; a sister, Joann Crawford of Warren, Ohio; and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald A. Lewis, who died in 1989; her second husband, William F. Lewis, who died in 1997; two brothers, Bill and Paul Edwards; and a sister, Theresa Hodak.

<B>LEWIS</B> — Friends of Mary E. "Libby" (Edwards) Lewis, who died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 until the time of the blessing service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the <B>F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home</B>, 119 Bear St., Worthington. Father Kenneth Kezmarsky will officiate.
