Seneca Valley students earn awards at RMU video fest

Video production students and SVTV volunteers at Seneca Valley School District won nine awards at Robert Morris University’s annual Digital Media Arts Consortium student video festival, including two Best in Category distinctions and a senior honorary award.

Senior Caleb Magill won in the “Special Effects” category and earned the Founders Award for contributions to SVTV throughout his high school career.

Senior Ben Stanton won Best in Category for “Digital Cinema” and “Video As Art” categories.

Senior Ella Schmitt won in the “Documentary” category for her inside look at sports videography.

Senior Kaydence Kilhof won in the “Feature Package” category for her video about the inaugural Ryan Gloyer 5K.

The SVTV football crew won Best in Category in the “Live Event” competition for its production of the Seneca Valley vs. Hempfield football game. The Seneca Says crew won in the “Morning Announcements” category, and freshman Zach White won in the “Stop Motion/Animation” category.
